ONE DAY TRIP TO TIP OF BORNEO

We had a day trip to Kudat with Deborah and gang. The one day trip to Kudat is an exciting place to go up and down hill till u reaches the Tip of Borneo and enjoying the breeze there. The journey took us about 4 hours.

On the way, we make a visit to the Ostrich Farm nearby where we can enjoy the ride on the Ostrich. The ostrich farm operated by Arah Yakin Sdn. Bhd. in Kota Belud located in Kg. Nanamun, situated on the beachside is pretty much a remote place. The journey could've been better with a tarred road, it's a bumpy gravel trip all the way.

After the trip there, we then make our move and stopped a while at the Gombizau Honey Bee

“The Gombizau Honey Bee Farm is located in Kampung Gombizau in Matunggong, a sub-district situated 43 kilometers south of Kudat city, where one of the economical activities for the village community is honey bee farming. There are over a hundred bee cages in the bee farm.

The Honey Bee Farm was started and established over ten years ago, and the bee farm produces honey both for the local consumptions  as well as to be sold in bottles for those who are akin to the sweet taste of raw honey"

Here we get a better understanding on how the honey are made and we also can buy some honey back home as well as taste the fresh honey from the farm.
Without wasting much time to our main destination, we headed to the Tip of Borneo. The sky is blue with the strong wind. The view is simply magnificent and it’s a place not to be missed.

“Tanjung Simpang Mengayau, is also known as the Northernmost tip of Borneo, is located in the district of Kudat, in the state of Sabah, Malaysia. The tip is the meeting point of Sulu and South China Sea.

A bronze globe marks the location of Tanjung Simpang Mengayau at latitude 7 degrees north and longitude 116 degrees east. A map featuring the island of Borneo is embossed in bronze and laid on a flat surface at an angle with inscriptions to mark the Tip of Borneo.”

Our trip ended and we had our light meal and headed back to Kota Kinabalu for a rest.
