Say “Yes” to a brand new season of Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta – DIVA’s hottest bridal reality show that follows a bride-to-be’s search for the perfect dress. The series’ eighth season returned to DIVA with two half-hour episodes on Friday, 17 April at 7PM, with brand new episodes every Thursday and Friday.
Season 8 continues the show’s successful format, following excited brides-to-be as they search for the wedding dresses of their dreams at Atlanta’s premier bridal salon, Bridals By Lori. At the helm of the show will be the familiar faces of hosts Lori Allen, owner of Bridals by Lori since 1980, and image consultant Monte Durham. The iconic Say Yes To The Dress duo is set to once again charm audiences worldwide with their wit, passion, and unique sense of style.
Season 8’s emotional half-hour premiere centers around Katie Breland who, after suffering a debilitating accident, was told she will never walk again. Despite her struggles, Katie could not be any happier during her time at Bridals by Lori as she looks for the perfect dress with the help of her friend and trainer Mike. Katie vows she will find a way to walk down the aisle during her wedding. Will her wedding dreams ever come true?
In the premiere’s second half-hour episode, a bride wants to emulate Beyoncé with her dress pick, but her family is not convinced that a sexy gown is the way to go. As tempers rise and opinions are thrown around, the Beyoncé wannabe hopes above all else that her fitting will remain a memorable occasion for her mother, as she will not be able to come to the wedding. Will she succeed in that quest or will mom go home unhappy?
Throughout the new season, women from all over the country descend on the salon, bringing their entertaining entourages and inspiring backstories along for the ride. As always, Monte, Lori and the whole staff will bend over backwards to make the ladies’ dreams come true, all while appeasing fiancés and accommodating opinionated family members.
