A fully-loaded Warner TV HD (HyppTV Ch 613) presents six same-day-as-the-US series this September and October, with Lethal Weapon leading the charge.
Premiering on Thursday, 22 September at 9.50pm, the series, which is based on the hit movie franchise, tells the story of classic cop-duo Riggs and Murtaugh, as they work a crime-ridden beat in modern-day Los Angeles. Grief-stricken after the loss of his young wife and unborn child, ex-Navy SEAL-turned-detective Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford - Rectify) moves to California to start over at the LAPD.
Believed to be a loose cannon with a death wish, he is paired up with Roger Murtaugh (Emmy® nominee Damon Wayans - My Wife and Kids, In Living Colour), a cautious cop who's just come back to the job after a near-fatal heart attack. Riggs' penchant for diving headfirst into the line of fire immediately clashes with Murtaugh's prudent, by-the-book personality.
In the lead-up to the launch, Warner TV HD will air all four iconic Lethal Weapon movies as part of the channel’s “Cinema Sundays” block.
Blindspot will also make a highly anticipated comeback this September. Following the thrilling finale which saw agent Kurt Weller arrest Jamie Alexander, season 2 will draw both characters further into an underworld where the stakes are high, and more lies unravel into a larger conspiracy.
Completing the programme lineup is a robust DC slate, including fan favourites, Gotham, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, as well a brand new season of the ever-hilarious The Big Bang Theory.
