With this product launch, the desktop sites, mobile sites, as well as Dealer and Consumer Apps have chat built into the core capability of each platform. This brings the chat user experience, currently the most dominant communication channel in Southeast Asia, into the heart of the iCar Asia business. Effective communication allows more car buyers and sellers to easily connect, facilitating a successful trade.
iCar Asia developed its Dealer App dedicated to the needs of car dealers, separating it from the consumer focused experience. Chat is the key feature for the App, and also enables the dealers to effectively manage multiple leads, and keep track of their customers and conversations in the one place. This interface also gives the dealer the ability to share photos and their location as they chat to their customers. In addition to the chat capability, further functionality has been integrated into the App to allow the Dealer to more easily manage their account, as well as create and feature car listings whilst on the go.

Within the first week of launch, the platform has successfully connected thousands of buyers to dealers via chat. With over 2.1 million monthly active users on Mobil123.com, it is expected that these numbers will grow exponentially in the coming weeks. iCar Asia expects to deploy its chat functionality and Dealer Apps in Malaysia and Thailand over the next 2 months.
