SKYPARK TERMINAL AND GRAB FORM A GROUND-BREAKING PARTNERSHIP

Malaysia’s busiest domestic airport, SkyPark Terminal, achieved another milestone when it became the first airport in Malaysia to collaborate with South East Asia’s leading ride hailing service, Grab. The agreement was signed at a Press Conference at the Peugeot Lounge at SkyPark Terminal by Yg. Bbhg Tan Sri Datuk Ravindran Menon, Executive Director of SkyPark Terminal, and Jaygan Fu, Grab Malaysia’s Country Head.

The two household names entered into a 4-year agreement that will make the commute for travellers from SkyPark Terminal to their preferred destinations much more convenient. With this agreement, travellers will be able to book their Grab rides even before they leave the Arrivals Hall through a Grab kiosk, and after a mere couple of minutes, be on their way to a destination of their choosing.

“This collaboration will add value to SkyPark Terminal’s overall offering to our guests and make their commute to and from SkyPark Terminal much more convenient. Over the years we have seen our footfall increase consistently and with our projections for 2017 showing a continuation of this positive growth, partnering with Grab will allow us to meet this growing demand,” said Tan Sri Datuk Ravindran Menon, Executive Director of Subang SkyPark Sdn Bhd.

The agreement between Grab and SkyPark Terminal results from a mutual aim to provide both business and leisure travellers with rides that are safe, reliable, convenient and cost-effective. With this partnership, SkyPark Terminal will be the cheaper and more convenient option to fly to popular destinations such as Penang, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Kota Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Kerteh, Alor Setar, and Singapore.

“As a local homegrown company, we are always on the lookout for creative and localised partnerships that will help add value to our customers and partners. With that, we are thrilled to partner with SkyPark Terminal in what will be a long-standing and mutually beneficial relationship. We hope to play an active role and support the growing demands of Malaysia tourism industry and provide social and business travellers with safe, convenient, reliable and cost effective rides,” said Jaygan Fu, Grab Malaysia’s Country Head.

Tan Sri Ravindran Menon added, “Our goal is to continue to offer our guests with top notch services that make for a hassle-free journey to and from SkyPark Terminal. Thanks to Grab we will be able to meet the growing market demand set by Malaysia’s burgeoning foreign and domestic tourism industry.

GrabCar (6-seater)
As part of the fanfare, Grab also took the opportunity to kick off their latest service – GrabCar (6-seater). “We have had several enquiries especially from travellers for a larger car, therefore, in response and to cater to their convenience, we are excited to launch our GrabCar (6-seater) to address their travelling needs,” added Fu.
